Sheila Mitchell, M.D.
Board Certified in Family Medicine
After practicing in larger medical groups for MANY years, Dr. Mitchell is the founder of Spirit of Health Wellness Clinic and Learning
Center. She is extremely happy to see her vision for an integrative clinic
of holistic practitioners come to fruition.
After practicing in larger medical groups for over fourteen
years, Dr. Mitchell decided to do it her way, creating an environment
where patients can participate in the healing process on all levels, including
mind, body and spirit. This inclusive aspect of health care is particularly
important for Dr. Mitchell, who travels frequently to South America to
explore traditional, indigenous methods of healing.
Dr. Mitchell cares for the entire family, from providing
wellness exams to attending to complex medical problems. She enjoys taking
a holistic approach to health and collaborating with alternative providers
for your health.
In her spare time, she enjoys equitation, hiking, gardening, reading and writing.

Tricia McElhinney Kenny
FNP, Certified Family Nurse Practitioner
Tricia Kenny has been a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) in the Vancouver/Portland area since 1999. She joined Spirit of Health in March 2001. As an FNP she provides primary care to pediatric, adolescent and adult populations. This encompasses annual physical exams, screening and preventive health care; acute problems such as cough, headaches, and back pain; and managing chronic conditions such as hypertension and diabetes. She enjoys collaborating with our on staff acupuncturist, massage therapists and naturopathic physician in your care.
Tricia holds a Master’s Degree in Nursing from Pace University in New York, her native state. She also has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy and Psychology, as well as Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has studied the Fine Arts and still dabbles in drawing and painting.
Keeping healthy is important to her whether it be a meal of organic veggies, a day of rigorous sailing, laughing with friends or partaking in a yoga class.

Susan McCarthy

Susan joined SOH in late 2002. She shares her passion for health with her patients through Acupuncture, Chinese herbs and bodywork. Acupuncture is recognized by the World Health Organization as an effective therapy for over 20 medical conditions such as digestive disorders, pain, and women’s health - in addition to many others. Susan has recently begun to focus some of her practice on treatment for fertility including infertility, preconception care and maternal health.
She already has a thriving practice, a testament to her remarkable skills as a holistic healthcare provider.

Griffin

Kathleen started using massage as a modality when she was a Physical Therapist Assistant at Oregon Health Sciences University Out Patient Physical Therapy Clinic in 1991. In 1996 she started her own business as a self employed Massage Therapist. She mainly focuses on practicing Medical/Clinical Massage, where she treats patients with chronic and acute pain symptoms due to accidents, injury, disease processes, work or play activities. She also works with patients to maintain their health.
Kathleen’s hobbies include hiking, back country skiing and rock climbing.

Janel Hillstrom,
F.N.P.
Janel Hillstrom F.N.P. is a local graduate of the Washington State University Nurse Practitioner Program where she earned her Master’s of Science in Nursing.She recently joined Spirit of Health, and has fit right in with her style of compassionate, comprehensive care for patients.
Janel has experience working with pediatric, nursing home and stroke rehabilitation patients, as well as wound management. But, as a Family Nurse Practitioner, she provides care for the whole family.
She has been a humanitarian volunteer in Argentina as well as volunteering in the United States.
Dr Willow Moore,
D.C., N.D.
Dr. Willow Moore is a Chiropractic and Naturopathic physician, with over 25 years of clinical experience. She offers a complementary approach through a blend of natural therapeutics that include homeopathy, herbal medicine, nutrition, lifestyle changes, detoxification and exercise. She graduated from the University of Washington with a BS in chemistry. West States Chiropractic College (cum laude) and from National College of Natural Medicine.
Although she works with entire families, Dr. Moore specializes in providing care for women and children. She treats acute and chronic injuries as well as colds and flus. Dr. Moore has extensive experience with allergies, depression, IBS, ulcers, high blood pressure, diabetes and chronic fatigue syndrome. She also works with ADHD, ADDS and hyperactivity, Dr. Moore received training from the Broda Barnes Institute in hormone imbalance diagnosis and rebalancing, and works with patients suffering from endocrine disorders including thyroid, adrenals, and the sex hormones.
Dr. Moore is a guest lecturer at National College of Natural Medicine and is also on the Board of Directors for the college. She teaches a homeopathic first aid class at the clinic. She lives with her horse, dogs and cat, and enjoys gardening, trail riding, skiing and travel to warm water for diving and snorkeling.
